Today’s passionate relationship principle (PRP) is The Power of Listening.   Conversations are what you use to build closeness and connection in your relationship.  Talking is important because it allows you to express your thoughts and your feelings.  Talking can help you to feel closer to your spouse as the two of you share important dreams and goals together.  Talking can also help you feel closer as you go through challenges together.  When we think of talking, we always think about the words that we want to share and how we want to express our thoughts.   We think about how important it is that the other person really understands how important this is to us.   But, in a loving relationship, listening has far more power than we often realize.  This is especially true for men.  Men if you can learn to listen, to truly listen, to what your lady is saying and the emotions that she is expressing, your relationship can be catapulted to new levels.  Today I’m going to make more deliberate efforts to listen to my wife.   Guys, we don’t have to have an answer for everything.  Sometimes listening is the answer.  Today’s passionate relationship principle (PRP) is The Power of Listening.

Have you had a situation in which you really listened to your spouse, or significant other, and it made a big difference to them and had a great impact on the relationship?
